It has been heart breaking to observe the pain and suffering caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is tempting to think that as a small church it feels like any contribution we could make is hardly worthwhile. However, we serve a big God who uses ‘small things’ to make a difference.
There are obviously many different good ways to help. The suggestions below are just a couple of ideas.
- First and foremost pray. This is the biggest thing we can do. The European Mission Fellowship is a great place to stay informed and then pray!
- If you would like to give financially, one option is via the Transform Europe Network.
- If you have spare clothes, blankets, tinned food that you might be able to give, please do check out the Barnabus Fund. Here you’ll find what they are collecting and where.
- Some individuals/families in our church may be prayerfully considering the possibility of offering some accomodation to some Ukrainine refugees. The sanctuary foundation is a great place to get some help with this. It maybe possible for our wider church family to help out in some way if any individuals/families did take in some refugees. If this is you, please do mention it to the one of our Church Elders.
